Is e-commerce support available for google analytics by now https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues/10049 seems to be stale

As a workaround I am exploring the default big query exporter from GA to big query natively. However, When I want to export the data from there. I observe that a new table / stream is created for each file/day. And this does not seem practical to sync with airbyte. I.e. airbyte would expect one table and basically run a diff/sync task on it instead of many tables. How can this be handled? (and ideally) will e-commerce events be supported natively in Airbyte soon?

Hi! That issue is still open, so e-commerce support is unfortunately still unavailable. Would you be interested in contributing? I will look into what an alternative workaround would be in the meantime.

Unfortunately, I do not have any resources to contribute.
Regarding my suggested workaround - @Amrendra nath Upadhyay can you comment on how BigQuery`s streams could be auto synced via Airbyte (without manually adding each of them)?

Do you mean you're looking to manually export the data from BigQuery? Could you please provide links to docs on what you're to make sure we're on the same page? And I'm definitely interested in hearing more about the workaround. There is no current timeline for this feature, but please feel free to comment on the GitHub issue - that will let the engineering team know that there is community interest!

1. there is some official process from google to dump the raw google analytics and google-analytics-ecommerce events into big query. 2. somehow for each day a file and later stream in Airbyte is created
How could airbyte pick these streams up automatically? i.e. like a usual table-append?
Indeed, as a workaround I am suggesting to use these files in bigquery. However, given the current setup (one stream per day) it is not maintainable in airbyte to sync them all i.e. to select them all manually.

Currently Airbyte does not support automatic updates like this, though there is an open issue and you can follow it here: https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues/12089 Looks like it will require further thought to come up with a better workaround! I hope this answers your original question of whether e-commerce support is available :) though the ticket you mentioned (https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues/10049) hasn't been resolved, I would encourage you to comment on it to help bring awareness to it and to check out the workaround mentioned!

competition like fivetran: https://fivetran.com/docs/applications/google-analytics-4-export/setup-guide apparently already supporting this natively - also the part around handling the ecommerce addon
@Nataly Merezhuk (Airbyte) https://ga-dev-tools.web.app https://airbytehq.slack.com/archives/C021JANJ6TY/p1666866711613119 could custom reports be a workaround? Can you give support here if this could be an option?

We stick to one question per thread for the sake of organization and continuity :) thanks for starting that new thread! As it is assigned to a different member of my team, I will pass this along to them! You should receive a reply shortly, thanks for your patience!
