Good morning guys, please I have a question on an app I am working on

The question is this.

This is the home screen, from which you click the right cornered icon which takes you to where you type a city.

This is the city app with a TextField, i have been able to make the keyboard go off if anywhere outside the input box is tapped, but my issue is this. If i dont tap outside to make the keyboard go off and I hot reload the app, the keyboard stays automatically in the home page.

Can you do a video of how this works? I'm not sure I understand what you want to do. Perhaps a video walkthrough will elaborate better.

This is what I mean, after reloading the keyboard doesn't go off but remains at the start of the app, for me to prevent this I have to tap the city screen surrounding before hot reloading which is what i don't want. Thanks in anticipation of a solution on how to go about it.

I get what you mean now. First, users will not see this behaviour as there is not way to hot restart on a normal device(I think) so I don't think you should be worried about that. If you really want to handle dismissing keyboard, you should handle the dismiss on your focusnode listener.
