love the simplicity, having the api stuff from nextjs communicate with the db, is such a great deal, I dont have to have a whole backend nodejs app but can get directly into with the headless

Hi, is there a sql template/tutorial to create something like a "session for multiple users" like garticphone or something like that. The first user starts a session without logging in/signing up, shares the id and the other users can "join his session". Doodle makes the same, but more "async" (hope you understand what i mean...my eglish is not the best 😄 ) Thanks!

    As I understand it
    Supabase

Is it open source or not? If it is, are there any imposed limits for using it?

Open source does not mean they are hosting servers for you. If you want, you can do it yourself or you can pay them.

Exactly this. Hosting providers (e.g. AWS, DigitalOcean) still charge for storage and the server that you host on, and the managed/hosted platform provided by Supabase means you have everything setup and ready to go. If you're interested in self-hosting, there's an overview at https://supabase.io/docs/guides/self-hosting, and a more in-depth guide at https://dev.to/chronsyn/self-hosting-with-supabase-1aii (disclaimer: I wrote the guide based on my experience setting up a self-hosted version of Supabase)

Because it just took 700ms to get an image that is less than 1MB 😂

Hi everyone! I'm currently building a project using strapi as central building block for the API. I'm quite happy with it's cms capabilities, and it's really easy to work with and to deploy it to production. Nevertheless, building complex APIs is a bit tedious. Since they'll drop mongoDB-support with the upcoming v4, we're looking at quite some migration work since we'll have to migrate to SQL anyways. This is way I'm currently evaluating other solutions for building APIs and supabase looks great so far! I just don't get where I can implement complex business logic in the hosted option aside from postgres row level authorization – can anyone point me into the right direction? Thanks!

just to make something clear, having a dev account for (google, twitter, FB) in order to add the keys to the Supabase and allow for App clients to login with their social credentials is the correct way of doing 3rd party login right? Am I missing something here?
