@User seems like there might be a bug in the supabase.io dashboard. From the auth settings page, if you turn off "Enable email confirmations" and "Enable Email Signup" and then click the save button, nothing happens. So currently it seems to be impossible to disable email signups.

Please don't ping Mods like this as we are all in different timezones, this should be reported to the Supabase team by using the feedback widget in the dashboard or email beta@supabase.io.

Discord has a setting per role called "allow anyone to @ mention this role", sounds like you might want to turn it off for the mod role.

No as we need to be notified of any misbehaviour on the server, It's just that the issue you are having isn't related to the Mods, it's related to the Supabase hosted platform which is best reported through the channels mentioned.

I just noticed there were mods online but no one from the team role online, but I see that mods are the wrong role for bugs. Sounds like the preference is not use Discord at all to report bugs? It seems a bit unfortunate to have a Discord community for a software service and not use it to report or resolve bugs.

Discord is a really bad way to to keep track of issues and bugs, communication is easily lost on here and with the size of the Supabase team it is definitely not the optimal way to manage issues. The other channels work best. The Discord is mainly community run.

Discord is not a great way to track things, but it can definitely be a great way to report things, depending on the how it's being used by the development team, especially with respect to general awareness of issues since most users of a service are more likely to have Discord open all day than they are to be refreshing the issues tab of Github for example. But it sounds like that's not how the team wants to use it.

Truth be told, if I'm experiencing an issue, the first place I look is Google, which tends to lead me to the issues and discussions of a specific repo. I very rarely search Discord for solutions to problems unless I know I've seen it discussed at some point recently. That said, I think it's a great place to ask questions and get confirmation from the community on whether something is a bug or user error, and following up with a bug report in the repo if required.

Ya for sure, if you're actively seeking information on a specific issue, Google/S.O./Github searches are the way to go. The nice thing about realtime platforms like Discord is that you can have passive awareness of things you might not otherwise have had.

Yea google auth in flutter mobile only works inside web view. Many in the help -> flutter channel asked support for native social auth . Supabase team knows about it. I guess it will come in future

does the form need to be on a webview or can I have the form on the flutter app and somehow open the webview to handle the google auth?

The dashboard only works with projects hosted on the Supabase platform. You can self-host the stack (Guide: https://dev.to/chronsyn/self-hosting-with-supabase-1aii), but it doesn't include the dashboard at the moment.

Both. I want users to be able to use it. And I want the ability to jump in and hand-tweak advanced settings if the defaults aren't meeting my needs.
