https://github.com/emotion-js/emotion/issues/2928 nearly all library's that are based on emotion, like materialUI, chakra (which i don't get why its so popular, being full clientside with huge js delivered), mantine (my favorite) don't play well with the app directory, workaround is to use the "use client" directive on top level layout, or other rather hacky workarounds.

i mean it works with the "use client" etc, but that defeats the purpose of the app directory, unless i don't understand something fundamental about it.

Ah I see. I didn't get to try app directory yet, so that's why it wasn't a problem for me

most of them hook into frontend stuff (useEffect) to implement some stuff like toggleable mobile menu's etc. if there where a library where its optional, or you could implement it yourself, it would work i guess.

@JBarcelo As repeated over and over here please ask in #1006358244786196510 and you will need to provide more info on client you are using, sample code etc.

Folks when asking for help on any platform please do some steps like these before asking for help 1. Read through the error to see if it's giving you any useful information 2. If you find any useful information I would then look into that 2.1. If you didn't understand the useful information you can then share it along with every detail to reproduce the issue for someone else 3. If you didn't find any useful information you can then ask for help while posting the error and the steps you took to get it along with anything related to it Just saying it doesn't work or pasting the error you are getting in a question on here isn't very helpful to anyone trying to help you. Also creating a minimal reproducible example repository is always the quickest way to get help.

can't you post this in a rule channel, and have users like "sign" it before they can post anywhere? i've seen other discords do that

@silentworks i guess you guys would have to think about what to do if someone still ignores that.

It would be more of a suggestion than a rule.
