This cannot be real, how do you know what is in which tab?

Yeah, I understand. I own multiple support servers myself, and I also use the forum route. What I said still stands though.

I start to worry when I have more than 20 tabs open, I don't think I would be able to function with the number of tabs you have open.

thats me after a debugging 2 h, only i tend to have multible windows like this and compeltly lose the overview

most browsers have a sidebar tab overview option, i should use that prob^^

no problem at all. i am really frustrated at work right now and this is a welcome diversion

i have to vent a little bit: i have a team at work thats building a new website with something called divi builder and wordpress. its basicly drag and drop with everything. the whole site is really slow, unresponsive at times and has in my opinion really questionable decisions. i offered to build the site with the wordpress api and make it still editable for them, but they want to be able to edit EVERYTHING. like moving a logo 2 pixels to the right. not only is this impossible because divi uses template shortcodes, that are not rendered into html on api endpoints for some reason, its also impossible because i would be coding an CMS with huge overhead - basicly wordpress.

I remember those days when I worked in the agency world. We built plenty of these types of projects.

its basicly agency work what they are doing. it feels so 2009.

i used to build sites with phpBB etc too, it was fun for a while, but today its just... meh

also, they are basicly too cheap to hire a real developer to do the work right.

Nope, never, I will put you in timeout if you start talking about the worst CMS in the history of CMSes.

For PHP stuff I still like CraftCMS, it's one of the best CMSes I've ever used.

For PHP I like Processwire

Yeah Processwire is good too. I still don't understand why people use Drupal and Wordpress when there are so many other better PHP CMSes around that have been around for a long while too.

i will just do it in a normal way with some headless CMS, starting to try Ghost now. in the end they can say "okay this is better" or stick to their wordpress crap, idc

my coworker told me "wordpress powers 60 % of the web, so it can't be bad"

i tried to explain web 2.0 to her, but i don't think she understood me.

(mainly that in the web 2.0 era everybody made a blog on wordpress.com)

This was the same argument that got us stuck supporting IE6 for years while the web was trying to advance.

it's fundamentally flawed argument. just because everybody does it, it isn't good by any means. Have you looked at the Music Charts recently?
