Hey, I'm new to supabase and trying to get better at using sql with supabase. Are there any good tutorials to work from the ground up and get important concepts anyone can recommend? Quite new to to PL/pgSQL and have only used basic sql in the past.

I’m in a similar place, I would just recommend studying cheat sheets around Postgres maybe there are even some about supabase, best is obviously to have a usecase and starting to solve it with this tech.

Take the hackerrank courses on SQL, they'll go through the basics of running most queries / some best practices.

Hopefully, seems to be a lot of work by others in the past so mainly looking to follow some footsteps before diving in on my own.

Do they go into policies, practices involving multiple schemas and the like or is it more similar to leetcode for SQL?

Not sure if its like leetcode or not, it'll be good for getting familar with database design and queries mostly

Doesn't really go in depth into security / schemas

A further warning on using chatGPT. Just was posting with someone in github that they wanted to delete all files in a folder from storage. It was in a discussion about having to use the http extension to delete the files and not just delete from storage.objects. ChatGPT showed them how to delete all the objects in the table for a folder, BUT now all his files all orphaned in S3 storage as the calls to the storage API with http were not there.

https://twitter.com/balajis/status/1620295907685302272 I thought of you Gary Austin when i saw this tweet. the discord forums are so good for help, but it took me some getting used to and it seems like it takes the mods telling people over and over again to "go use the help forum!!" lol
