Is there a standard way of migrating from password auth to mobile phone auth?

I'm looking to switch an authentication system over to Twilio OTP's with Supabase, but its unclear if thats actually possible as a clean migration

You can use a Postgres trigger function on insert/update to issue a request to an edge function with the http extension.

Trigger functions are just a Postgres operation and there is plenty on the web about them with examples.
