Whenever I run `supabase link` with a project-ref, it actually ends up creating a duplicate app which is super weird

Let's say I am making an ecommerce site and want to have the role "customers" be able to access the shop system.

Should I create a database role or should I create a column in my user table? What is best practice? I am not entirely sure what I am supposed to do here

Hey all, I'm still struggling with this CORS issue on `/auth/v1/user`.

One thing I'm trying to track down is what exactly is calling `/auth/v1/user`. It looks like it gets called after the successful oAuth signIn flow.

Could it be this line of code? `const session = supabase.auth.session()`

You really should be asking help questions in help.
Going to the gotrue.js code shows this for auth.session:

So not making a network call at all.
I'm not sure where all /user gets called, but it appears to be called from at least getSessionFromUrl, which I believe is used on link returns from auth.   Then probably if you call api.getUser().

What are the best practices to deal with multiple enviroments (local/staging/production) right now? (mostly talking about migrations)

This right here is probably a good reason why Supabase _needs_ a head of doco. As awesome as videos are, it isn't great usability for vision impaired people.

Hi, do you guys know if there's a way to "pause" a project? I received an email saying that my project would be paused due to inactivity and I was curious if this is something I could do myself, but I don't see this option anywhere.

No there is not a way (setting) to pause a project besides not using it for 7 days.  Is there some reason you want/need to pause it?  Any use of it resets for 7 days.

No, no reason other than saving resources which I understand (from the email I received) is why this is done in the first place. As I'm not planning on working on this project for now, I just wanted to help a bit in case this was done by the simple click of a button 🙂

Hi João, you can just make an API call. Even put a cronjob to make an API call once a week to keep the project active.
