honestly, remote 'functions' seem to be a reasonable middleground

I imagine it's on supabase roadmap ?

so all of your data would be mutated authoritatively by your function's logic

and you still get the benefit of outsourcing your app's infra / avoid hosting your own express servers, etc

+ optimized data access since supabase cloud can potentially run the functions on same machine as data with ~0 server to db network latency?

that doesn't sound good. can you email support@supabase.io ? can you include the project ref (in the url when your on dashboard) your having issues with and try (if you can) to email from your github email address, just to speed things up. sorry for the issues with that, we'll investigate why the support ticket couldn't be sent!
