if only the training notebook uses CPU
  • f
    might be impossible tho
  • a
@User I'm getting K80s on GPU even after I factory reset and made another copy of the Uberduck Training Notebook
  • t
    Okay, I'm very confused
  • t
I ran two different approaches to constructing my model, neither of which worked out
  • t
For the first approach, I took a variety of English and Japanese voices to clone them but I was missing a csv file for metadata
  • t
The problem with the second one came down to not being able to have the text for a missing audio file
  • t
I guess technically I could have fixed this but then I got to thinking
  • t
If all I was using was the LJ Speech Dataset, which is pure English, would it not make sense for my English-Japanese model to be based on both English and Japanese?
  • t
So now I'm a bit stuck, trying to figure out exactly what I should be doing
  • a
If you're mixing an English dataset with a dataset from another language, perhaps transcribing the English dataset using ARPABET might help and leave the regular Latin characters for the other language. I've yet to try this myself, though.

Does anyone by any chance know how to fix a K80 when factory reset runtime does not work?
  • a
    @User
  • a
    ?
  • h
    you can't
  • h
    not without paying
  • h
training still works on k80 it's just slower
  • a
    ooh ok
  • a
its just i got t4 every time i tried to train
  • a
@User is this a good place for the AI to start? this is its third time generating a spectrogram
  • h
yeah it used to be like that, now either google's out of t4·s or they intentionally downgraded the free tier or both
  • h
that,,, does not look like a good graph
  • a
i know its nowhere near complete
  • h
honestly surprised it can mess up that hard after 3 epochs
  • h
because it's supposed to start out good
  • a
oh no! should I shut it off?
  • c
    dataset built too different
  • a
    ?
  • c
try training for a bit more
  • c
if i remember correctly it took for me 2 epochs to get alignment image for bugs bunny
