I saw that you mentioned the pandoc extension to manage .bib files. I installed it and managed to make it work however I dont see a way to have a display of the citation in the Markdown file

I understand that this is not dendron related but you might have an idea

anyway it could be a brilliant feature .... I would be interested in using Dendron for academic writing

it might be that it only publishes them on export

Yes this is great however what I would need would really be a possibility, just like the Pandoc extensions does, to fetch within a local .bib file via a citekey and display a somehow formatted citation as footnote directly within the MD file
