    working !!! Great many thanks ! I got confused because setting the "editor.suggest.showSnippets" to true (using the GUI) at the User/workspace and vault (folder) level .... didnt seem to have any impact ....

    I saw that you mentioned the pandoc extension to manage .bib files. I installed it and managed to make it work however I dont see a way to have a display of the citation in the Markdown file

    Yes this is great however what I would need would really be a possibility, just like the Pandoc extensions does, to fetch within a local .bib file via a citekey and display a somehow formatted citation as footnote directly within the MD file
