Is there a way to make every new direct child of root use a template? Schema's seem to need to start at level deep.

--- with this kind of hierarchy on the left, why the "Note graph" doesn't show
    pnpm
child nodes? nevermind, it's fine now (even if I did nothing to "refresh" the graph)

Any css media query gurus? Not Dendron-specific, for some reason a part of my site doesn't recognise screen sizes and just defaults to
    mobile
(640px). Thing is, I don't even know where to start looking for why it doesn't do it, it's not like there's an error to trace.

In my experience If you go to local graph and then back out you’ll force it to update. Also in my experience: the graph is very buggy.

right now I believe it must be at least 1 level deep. But this behavior can be fixed

I will hopefully have time to get involved in the project at some point. Here’s another thing that probably impossible but I would like to do…put the node graph and the preview on separate monitors. Can that be done?

If the monitors are next to each other, you could stretch the window to cover both. Otherwise it's kind of a VSCode limitation, you can't separate things into new windows

I tried that yesterday, it's not a great solution, might work a little better with the sidebar and activity bar on the right though..I assume VS will in time let you pop out tabs as windows.

Just adding to what @SeriousBug answered: There are a lot of people requesting floating windows for VSCode (last time I checked it was the number one voted feature request in the repository: https://github.com/Microsoft/vscode/issues/10121) There are workarounds suggested by other users in the thread to open the file in a new instance of VSCode. This sort of works, but will not be useful for local graphs because Dendron relies on seeing what note is open in the current instance of VSCode. If you only want to see the full graph, you can follow that workaround, but it will not automatically update in the new instance.

My understanding is that it's fairly complex to implement given how VSCode works currently 😅 but it is indeed under their radar.

VScode seems to be built from the concept of an "instance as a window" or a "workspace as a window", so I'd imagine a non hacky solution is a pretty major change.

yep...none of the expected panes are there except outline pane. I don't have calendar, tree or backlinks

There's a Dendron side panel, they should be all there now. Do you see a Dendron logo in your sidebar?

Looks like currently on mobile your limited to pulling down the repository and editing, but creating new notes from mobile isn’t possible?

Have wanted for so long for VSCode to be able to break out it's windows, even freakin' browsers can do it with the dev console. One screen dedicated to code, another screen dedicated to telemetry and operations, another window dedicated to output - all I need.

i believe github lets you create new files via the web interface, not sure about gitlab
