so i got my "edit on github" link thing working very close. the only thing is that it is not prepending with "notes/" when going to the link. so it goes to like gitlab.com/myrepo/main/someNote.md instead of gitlab.com/myrepo/main/**notes**/someNote.md . is this an artifact of self contained vaults? cc @kevins8 @SeriousBug

Is there any way to change styles of the markdown preview?

It follows your editor theme for light or dark mode, but otherwise no. I am currently working on it though.

Yeah it follows just dark mode but I have editor theme One Dark and its totally not the same 😁

So will it work to adapt to editor theme or we would use some css file?

It would be a custom CSS, like the feature we rolled out for publishing. We could have it automatically build a CSS file out of your current theme eventually, but that's not in the plans right now

Hey, what's the best way to link to files on your computer, and on a network path - windows base. These are based in different locations to the vault etc. So can't be a relative path but has to be an absolute path - [file.ps1](c:\path\to\file.ps1) does not actually link to the file properly and doesn't open

Newbie question. I created a set of notes, but later realized that my naming structure was backwards from what is most intuitive to keep adding notes and organizing them well. I named the notes such as "second.first.subtopic" and now I need them to be ordered such has "first.second.subtopic". I've looked through some documentation, and saw some notes on renaming nodes, moving nodes, and refactoring... I tried renaming, but it didn't seem to update the dendron tree structure, and it seems that I'd have to do that with each note individually. What's a smart way to go about restructuring these in a "Dendron" way -- preferably so I don't have to rename all 40 notes that start with "second.first"? Is this were a regex is needed?

I think you could solve this without regex too. Can you try using the "Refactor Hierarchy" command, then typing "second.first" on the first prompt, then "first.second" on the second prompt? It will show you how it's going to rename the notes first, so you can confirm if this is what you want.

Thanks @SeriousBug I can give that a try... except I think I screwed something up. I tried to use "Rename" (F2) on a bunch of them but it didn't update the Dendron tree structure, so now they're in no-man's land. Should I just rename them back? ( I get the impression now, I'm not supposed to rename that way)

Okay, I renamed them back individually to put them back as before (using F2). And then used the "Refactor Hierarchy". It provided a preview, and it looked great. So, I said proceed. Now, the Tree view is blank. 😶 The files are still there, but its like I have no notes. When I try to search for any of them, it says it doesn't exist, and asks if I want to add one.

Hmm, seems I may be missing some concepts here. Maybe I should go back to basic training.

The tree view has some known bugs, can you try restarting VSCode to see if that fixes it?
