@User You may want to be aware of Inkdrop, their publishing is frictionless (but no bidirectional linking or block reference 😦 )

@User I had changed my hierarchy just now, and I need to change all the backllinks manually?

    Build Pod

@User (and everyone else!!) given a markdown list in dendron is it possible to open an item (and any existing subitems) in another editor window to the side? This could either be a (focused) new instance of the same file or in a new file.

@User so you want to click the bidirectional link and open it in anther window to the side?

@User I am not sure I understand what you mean.

how could I open a markdown list with no links without any links?

    -item1 -subitem1 -subitem2 -item2

ok I would like to be on the line -item1 and do something so that -item1 -subitem1 -subitem2 only pops out into a new editor instance to the side. Ideally being able to choose between just being a focussed view of the same file or having it appear in a new file that I could save with a new name.

    I think you can't do
    focused view
    in Dendron, can you?

hmm, so i'm not sure if this is quite what you mean but you can create a new page from bullets using scratch notes https://www.dendron.so/notes/593206ea-5658-4874-bafd-18a138870f91.html#kevins-workflow

Dislike Workflowy or other note taking apps, you can't focus in a bullet point (a block) in Dendron @User

being able to zoom in to a bullet like in workflowy you mean?

yes - that would do the same thing I guess.

or it might be easier to code to have the item and its "descendants" appear in a truncated view of the same file in a new window to the side.

but i think it is hard to do excaltly like workflowy (I'm not sure about the tech part but it seems hard)

personally a big fan of the workflowy zoom function. implementing it in vscode will be tricky without using a custom webview. @User can you submit a feature request? not sure what the implementation will look like at this point. tagging @User in case one of you have thoughts https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/new?assignees=&labels=&template=feature_request.md&title= for now, I would use scratch notes for bullets. it gets you closer to the workflowy workflow while we figure out if this is something that is feasible to do natively 😅
