Yes, I don't see any problem with doing Zettelkasten using Dendron. I personally didn't fully embrace what Zettelkasten does (I'm not a writer, and I didn't get much benefit from the method), but I briefly tried it out. There was nothing special I had to do to fit it in with Dendron. With the hierarchical nature of Dendron note I would imagine it would be even simpler to implement a digital Zettelkasten.

hierarchy in my horribly outdated / untended personal digital garden where I keep the _literature notes_: https://cerebrarium.garden/notes/Y_H6rBwXIinOO1QtrsNLV/ If I were to have fleeting notes, I would have another very shallow hierarchy to house all of them, until I feel the need to give them some proper structure. (e.g.

). I think if I were to write permanent notes in the zettelkasten way, I would at least give them some structure,

we can have aliases for wikilinks and descriptive file names for notes so we don't really have to fully embrace the slipbox in a traditional sense and give them cryptic ids 😄

a longer-form dot-delimited hierarchical address has a lot of the useful properties of traditional zettlekasten addressing while being more legible

it took me longer than i expected to move some notes from "text" in a "proprietary blob" program into Dendron, but i'm quite happy with the results so far

though if you would like to, each note does have cryptic note ids in the frontmatter. I don't think we let users reference notes with that though hehe
