I’m assuming that may have come from settings sync but I’m really not sure

Why doesn't ctrl+l work for lookup when using vim in vscode?

It's because of a keyboard shortcut conflict between Dendron and the vim extension. You either have to rebind the vim shortcut, or the Dendron: https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/a6c03f9b-8959-4d67-8394-4d204ab69bfe/#lookup-shortcut-is-not-working

How do you init a dendron workspace without it making a new one, and giving a duplicate error?

If you want to completely get rid of your existing workspace, you can delete the Dendron workspace folder then initialize it. Or you could use the initialize command and pick a completely different directory.

So I want continue in the exact same workspace, but after I quit VScode, and re-opened it, now the workspace is closed, I just see the files, but can't use any Dendron commands that you can use when it's running

Sounds like the workspace isn't open. Do you see anything that says "Dendron (Workspace)" if you use the "File: Open Recent" command?

yep, when I press open it opens but I still can't type any commands (such as markdown preview)

in Kirans Bullet Journal [Video](https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/e65dfe53-41f7-4b16-b870-dadec1775497/) he creates an incomplete Daily Note Link and inserts the monthly template. which feels a bit hacky. Is there a proper way? Or what is missing to get a proper Monthly functionality?

We have plans to add a feature where users can create their own note types, so you could add a "monthly note" note type for example. The notes for it are here: https://docs.dendron.so/notes/E8ZUvTzJ7cVOyZtqHiIKX/ There's a link to the discussion page too if you'd like to share your thoughts on it

There should be a "edit this page on GitHub" link at the bottom if you'd like to give it a try!

Initialize Workspace command should work outside the dendron workspace as well. Could you check the dendron version installed in vscode-insiders?

Hi! Just discovered Dendron and I'm super excited about the project. One question I have for my use case, and I couldn't find anything but probably missed it: How do you deal with associating additional files (PDFs, images etc.) to notes, or nodes within a note? I don't want to commit these files to a gitrepo necessarily, and it would be useful to be able to reference those files. Thanks for any pointer!

Hi all, i heard it should be possible to get preview of images when hovering over image links in the edit view. Do I need a separate plugin for that? I just get Ctrl click in a small box, which works (but in a new window) on Windows but doesn't work on Linux and Mac.
