Would the tree view work for you? https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/gHdxXlNMr1w4xqee0n-Mb/

thanks. the tree view is nice, i just wish it could be a full fledged document because its too small and would be easier to navigate to if it was just a note

For the initial delay when the extension loads, you can also set the dendron (and deps) extension to load only for the specific workspace you are using it in. This way you avoid the delay when launching fresh vs code instance for another workspace/dir/file

I'd definitely suggest sending a feature request then.

how can i use dendron seemlessly in another workspace?

Do you mean a remove vault? You could create a native Dendron workspace in the workspace you want to take notes in, and then use the "Vault Add" command to add that vault.

Otherwise if you want to use Dendron in many workspaces, I'd recommend just keeping a seperate VSCode window open.

You should be able to use 2 windows of VSCode or 2 windows of VSCodium at the same time too if you prefer

Native workspaces can help with that if you want notes in just that workspace, for example if you want to write documentation for a project. Otherwise we don't support that yet unfortunately. Part of the issue is that VSCode generally expects extensions to only access files within the current workspace, so we'd have to add some workarounds to get it working everywhere.

Right now, we are trying to fix any bugs and problems people are having with Dendron, and making it easier to use. Past that, we are planning to make publishing easier, add better note synchronization, make Dendron better for code documentation, and more features for teams using Dendron. We do have an existing issue for the feature you are asking for by the way, please upvote it so we can track interest in this feature: https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/41

This might be a bit out there, but has any thought gone into how we might exploit backlinks to express relationship types? For example notes about a community and notes about people might have a "membership" relationship, obscure JVM configuration flags and JVM versions might have a "changed in" relationship, and implementations might have an "implements" relationship with an interface.

the configuration for dendron is yml based. we'll be working on adding a ui to it for folks that don't want to use yaml

IIRC Markdown Links had a method for increasing the # of hops of the local graph (1-hop = friends, 2-hop = friends of friends, etc) Is there any similar feature or way of changing the number of hops visible to the local graph?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how is text in Dendron markdown files being stylized with color etc? I know you can use HTML but I don't see any being used in the tutorial files for example.

You may have to be more specific, I'm not quite sure what specifically you mean. Do you mean how VS Code does themes/colors/etc. to Markdown an other syntax? - https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/getstarted/themes Or do you mean customizing things yourself, even further, with things like custom header colors? - https://gist.github.com/ScriptAutomate/2c7bd7ccf8987f40f4125d8272333d55 Or do you mean customizing the look of your published site? - https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/496 Or do you mean things like doing syntactically colored code blocks within markdown? - https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/8DCgctK-RMD4EeHjC5_hI/#code-blocks
