dendron has its own fork of markdown-notes, right?

yep. the only thing that differs right now is that it supports piped wiki links

yeah, i noticed that as well. i'm trying to consolidate my wiki-link syntax before contributing something that's incompatible with the standard

i was thinking of making it a config option

( so the user decides what they prefer: [[file|description]] or [[description|file]])

    that's a more elegant solution 😅

Ive got an hour of tinkering left, I'll try it out on my own fork and see where I get

sounds good. though just heads up that i might just end up updating dendron links to be [[description|file]] and adding an option to
    Doctor
(Dendron's version of janitor) to update links for folks in the future

might be worthwile to have since github wiki uses the [[description|file]] syntax

Update: I left my charger around 100km from where I live, and I have to go travel to pick it up- no opportunity for tinkering today, sadly

as for [[desc|file]] / [[file|desc]]: The worst case is that I'll have to do a Regex Search and Replace

    that sounds like a story

i think you get some sort of achievement for that

and sounds good. for the wiki-links, i'll add an option moving forward to use either syntax inside dendron

Can you have folders with dendron?

I mean in the vault folder can you have folders that break up the notes a bit?

soon. dendron partitions based on hierarchies but not by folders. you can have multiple dendron workspaces if you want to use different folders. in the future (eg. around end of august), you'll be able to have multiple vaults in a single workspace

Is it possible to alias-link things? For example in Quoll Writer*, both "Watson" and "Dr. John Watson" link me to the same page. *http://quollwriter.com/

Hi. Is there a simple guide on how to use Dendron? I've read the help, but continue to be a bit lost.

The problem is not with Dendron or its help, but mine. I'm not yet as technical proficient as I would like to get it right.
