That has the main ones, but the rest will depend on your vscode usage and if you want some other stuff

Does someone know hot to import other markdown files? I saw something about importing with pods but I didn't really understand how to do it.

I would like to add my obsidian vault as a pod if that is possible?

You mean a subscription for supporting Dendron? Here: https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/abda4d2a-d8a2-4dd6-8ea0-4a5661fa13c1/#tiers

Is there any feature / plugin / workflow that could help with setting notifications as timestamps in markdown? The biggest thing I miss from notion is the ability to embed dates to text or checklists, and have it trigger notifications (os notification or mobile push notification). I'm guessing local + vscode makes this quite hard, but if there was some api that could watch for file changes and identify timestamps, I could hook it up to some os level notification or a personal mobile push notification service

They are usually like scratchpads, but you are of course free to use it however you want. https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/5c213aa6-e4ba-49e8-85c5-1bdcb33ce202/#scratch-note

And is there any way to use the default journal settings for meeting notes? Or do I have to create my own hierarchical schema

Could you elaborate on that? If ypu tell more about what you expect from meeting notes, I can suggest a config for it.

Is there any way to create encypted notes in Dendron?
  • s

    ScriptAutomate

    01/11/2022, 5:05 PM
Not by default. Though, I recently set my own workspace up with using encrypted notes via Keybase, as keybase has encrypted git repos: https://book.keybase.io/git I was thinking I might make a little doc in our wiki for those interested in going down that path. There are other workflows, I imagine, people can take that encrypt/decrypt notes, but Keybase made it really easy to use in my Dendron workspace just like a regular remote vault

I am trying to use "header references" (as described in https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/f1af56bb-db27-47ae-8406-61a98de6c78c/). It seems to me that when you reference a header, the expected behavior should be to include this specific header (not "the entire contents of a note starting from a specified heading").

I believe Ctrl+Shift+C is the default shortcut assigned to create link to specific header (Dendron: Copy Note Link), and Ctrl+Shift+R for copying header reference (Dendron: Copy Note Ref) (https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/9MZBqhrijEM4QpZRa5t08/)

@User I'm guessing this links to https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/496 and there isn't a low-code solution at the moment?

Correct. Right now, it's pretty DIY for customization of the themes/Next.js templates

guess you are referring to header range which can be executed by this syntax: ![[name.of.note#starting-header:#ending-header]] - this will only include the content of the specific header you want and for the header reference with this: ![[name.of.note#head1]] which you mentioned that will include the entire contents of a note starting from a specified heading up to the last content of the whole note.

Not quite what I am looking for. I want to be able to selectively encrypt notes. I don't use Dendron with Git.
