Could you try opening the note (left click on it) then running the command "Dendron: Show Preview"? I'll work on fixing this bug for our next release, sorry!

for context, I created a new dendron workspace/vault on my desktop, triggered the tutorial, and coppied over a few notes that I had on my laptop

That all should be fine, do you get the error if you directly use the command too? (Ctrl+Shift+P, then "Dendron: Show Preview" while the note is open)

rolled back to 0.74 and tried on a different workspace that I havn't touched in a while and the error still persists

ahhh I fixed it... VS code was horrifically out of date 🤦‍♂️

Hi, i am pretty new to dendron, i had ny notes as text files and folders till now. While adding those to dendron i realised that the whole hierarchy, say root.level1.level2.note is created just like that

So if i have like n number of notes, all lie in the same vault directory

Will that not be conjested if i wanna access the notes outside vs code where the ctrl L search is not present

My second ques is this, i have both vs code and codium installed, i started dendron in codium, then created a vault, saved a few notes etc, but when i try to open the workspace file in vscode, the tree doesnt show up

This kinda leads me to the ques that if i cant use multiple editors for the same notes, how can i transfer them ?

Yes, it could be slightly harder outside of Dendron. You do always have the option to export your notes back to regular markdown, which will organize them into folders. There are also some people who use other tools on platforms where Dendron is not available (like mobile) which also works pretty well.

Do you have Dendron installed on VSCode too?

Is anyone else having a weird bug where the explorer pane keeps opening and the tree view being open whenever you change basically anything in a note? Only seems to happen with webUI enabled?

Yes

We have a fix for this ready to be pushed for the next release. Sorry about the inconvenience. For the time being, running

in the command palette while the tree view is not visible (explorer pane can be open, but with tree view panel folded) will resolve the issue until the tree view is visible again. At that point the same temporary fix has to be done. We'll let you know when the fix gets released 🙏
