That is more hours than I would need. Thank you so much for letting me know about gitpod. I so needed something portable and for most else I use sublime

FIXED - saved vault to somewhere else, re-initialised workspace and built again, which required installing json dependencies. I think the update to workspaces did something funny with json stuff - very annoying!

Am I correct to assume that you have to get your structure nice and tidy most of the time in the tree view instead of the dendron workspace? Tried to do it with new folders in the workspace but the backlinking is not working after transfering the files

yes you use the tree view with hirachys for that and not folders

It's a pity one cannot disable/remove the Folders view completely. I put mine at the bottom of the sidebar and collapsed it

I tried setting folders to an empty array in .code-workspace and that hid the Folders view, but broke Dendron in the process

I just try to get my head around how to sue Dendron as a Zettelkasten and how to structure everything. Brain has been broken in the process though 😄

we're planning on adding support for a dedicated dendron tree view container. folders will still exist but it won't be as in your face anymore

I just noticed that there's a few files with names like

dendron.{date}.migrate-command-config.yml

or

dendron.{date}.migrate-configs.yml

in the folder with my Dendron vaults. Looking at the dates, I'm guessing they were made as part of recent upgrades. Will deleting those files cause problems?

yep. by default, when you create a daily journal, it will create it in the same vault of the current open note
