On publishing, what is the sequence of steps if we want to publish an existing vault that is already on GitHub using the new nextjs version. Would really appreciate some guidance and steps, have not done this before.

This worked on my personal laptop. I can access the templates now. I think this is related to having a git initialised in the folder.

which I want to be the landing page/note, in its front-matter gave it:`id: root`, then deleted root.md, ran

I'm getting an auto folding of the yaml front-matter now, is dendron doing that?

Not sure since it's been a while since I played with publishing but I think the filename needs to be root.md but the title can be whatever you like. Have you tried adding Welcome as a title.

My dendron workspace and vault are in separate repos. Dendron Sync will push changes made to the vault, but not to the workspace files. Is is possible to have the workspace files synced as well?

Not right now. As a workaround, you could add an empty vault to your workspace that's within the same repo, in which case Dendron will sync that repo too.

Hi, I have started my PKM experience from logseq and I am still searching for VS Code alternative that would be more stable while having some of the features I consider very useful. When utilizing logseq I have very quickly started to use [[links]] to pages that does not exist yet. This is either because it will exist or because such links represent a concept that is shared, but does not require its own page. I believe Obsidian is another tool that auto-completes to non-existing pages. What I have immediately noticed in Dendron once I have imported my files is that auto-complete works only with existing files. Is there an option to auto-complete to pages that do not exist yet?

Quick question. Let's say I set up a single vault in dendron and take notes in there for a while, and then I decide I need to split some of them out. How rough is that going to be to do? Reason I ask is that I have personal stuff I track, have stuff for my business, and am potentially looking into writing fiction as well (so I would keep character sketches and whatnot in dendron) and may want to break pieces off into their own vaults for various reasons. Like, do I have to get this right from the outset or will it be pretty easy to move stuff later on?

Move Note

command which you can use to move notes to a different vault. You can also simply move the files, Dendron will automatically pick up the change.

Oh, I didn't realize that worked across vaults. Well, that makes that easier.

Is there an established way to make a template depend on a day of the week? E.g. I create a daily journal that has a template that includes a task list. On Fridays, and only Fridays, I want an additional task to do my timesheet. Can I have two templates, one with and one without this task, and determine the template the journal picks based on day of week? Or another path to a similar outcome? Not mission critical, but might be helpful personally if there is some way to make context based template decisions.
