It's because that page is only covering the configurations in the

site

namespace. We've been adding a lot of features and we've hit a point where the configs (and the documents for them) need a bit of cleanup. I am in the process of working on it. I am working through the tutorial, and am trying to build the tutorial site to test the publishing feature. Every time I run the VSCode command

and click `yes to install dependencies`I get an error (see below). I have node.js 14.17 and npm 6.14 installed. Does anyone have any idea why this might be an issue

ah, this is because that package hasn’t been published. will fix this later today in the meanwhile, we’re going to start deprecating publishing with 11ty in favor of our new publishing client would recommend using it for new sites

Folks, Do we need to exit from the current note and then press Ctrl+l for look up?

I tried control+L while being the same note and it did not work. I am using a windows vs code

That sounds like a bug. Lookup should work in that case.

Nope. No error message. just that it does not work.

I have vim bindings encoded. I am not sure that is what is causing troublel here

If you've recently modified

keybindings.json

(or installed the vim extension), check if the following is in the file:

This disables the default ctrl+l keybinding so that Dendron's keybinding for lookup works.

I actually uninstalled Vim keybindings. This is working fine now. Along with control + TAB, which was not working earlier

I just found https://github.com/Saul-Mirone/milkdown, and its vscode-extension (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=mirone.milkdown).. It's a WYSIWYG that looks awesome and got some real potentials (like slash-plugins). To be honest, I'm a little tired of toggling back and forth from markdown preview mode. Maybe this is an alternative? What to people think?

@User would it be an idea to add and adopt better support for milkdown, adding some plugins for it so it will be better in dendron. Often, when I write notes, I write it in proper markdown, but I never render it. So the point of markdown is moot.. Milkdown as an alternative to the normal edit/MarkdownPreviewEnhanced-mode would be nice

we're actually looking at milkdown as a potential frontend since we're using much of the same tooling (react, remark, etc). this is still in the early stages so expect to hear more about this later this year

Hi Folks, I am using Dendron on Windows. I am unable to use any of these commands : Dendron : Vault Add or any of such commands whhich should be present when i look up using drop down

That's the strength of markdown tho. Being readable in pure text is one of the important points of it. I'd fear that such "sugar" would create files that are harder to read while not rendered

I only glanced at Milkdown, but in their example at https://milkdown.dev/#/online-demo I don't see any added sugar.

Millkdown is extremely cool, thanks for surfacing @User . The obvious use case to me is for the (hopefully inevitable) web-based version of Dendron.

Folks, How do you guys code while using Dendron as a workspace? I tried importing some folders , but it closes Dendron (Windows, VS code). It works fine while opening files. Also, Is opening a new window the only workaround in this case ?

On a related (to toggling preview) note, would it be nice if "Show Preview v2" became "Toggle Preview v2"? For me, I can't even close the preview with ctrl+f4 (which is what the close "x" tooltip suggests)
