I don't have any experience doing this, but if you can name the notes with relevant terms, I imagine something could be written in AppleScript to import the files to a Dendron-related folder and add relevant words/tags for metadata. https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/documentation/AppleScript/Conceptual/AppleScriptLangGuide/introduction/ASLR_intro.html Although that's assuming you have a Mac as well as an iPad.

just discovered a fairly new bug... if the friendly text of a wikilink begins with #, as in a tag, Dendron treats it as a link within the file... e.g.

[[#in progress|tag.in_progress]]

should link to

tag.in_progress.md

but instead links to nothing & hovering it previews the current file

Tips for getting templates to work? I'm following the steps in this video: https://www.loom.com/share/481b7ab051394c1caa383383bd265755 but when I create a new note they don't follow the template. I've tried reloading vscode, dendron, resetting dendron cache. If it's helpful I can post my journal schema.

Can you verify if the schema is getting applied properly? Do you see the book icon in the places you expect?

And yeah, a look at schema might help troubleshoot this

That might be where it's actually pulling the schema file. Use the Lookup Schema command (ctrl + shift+L)

I do not have a daily.schema.yml file in the vault, but I do see two schemas with the Lookup Schema command, daily, and root.

Is there a command to refactor a selection into a new note, and leave behind a link to that note? Creating a scratch note with something selected moves the selection into the scratch note, but doesn't leave behind a link.

it’s a lookup modifier. toggle selection to link. it’s triggered automatically when you use cmd+shift+s shortcut

Thanks! I initially removed all the default keybindings when I installed Dendron, so I ended up having to re-discover these modifiers.

we still need to come up with a better story around keybindings. it’s near impossible right now to not conflict with existing bindings 😁

Just wanted to double check that there isn't already a better way to alter how published notes are rendered. Looking to make the notes panel wider.
