I think I must be confusing Foam and Dendron (I'm currently trying both) ... in Foam you can

a wikilink to a non-existent file

[[this.note.does.not.exist.yet]]

and it would be created, and I felt sure Dendron did the same thing but I just tried it and it doesn't work. If I've already typed out the name in the editor (I've been adding tags to notes the Dendron way

[[tag.foo]]

) what is a quick way to create stubs for those?

that should not be set for each update and instead be the default value that dendron sets if you have not configured a keybinding for the command.

Yeah you should be able to do it. If you have both installed it might conflict? What about ctrl+enter when you are selecting the link?

All Foam related stuff is disabled in my Dendron workspace (and vice versa), so there shouldn't be a conflict. Let me try ctrl+enter ...

Nope. On macOS ctrl+click is the equivalent of right-click. cmd+click is definitely not working for me and I'm on the latest 0.40.2

Also, can anyone explain the sort-order of the top-level namespaces in a vault in the Dendron Tree View? On mine it is neither alphabetic or date last accessed, it seems to be completely random.

i think it is creation date related

@User The tree view is alphanumeric by default by the recent caching updates means that updated notes can appear out of order in the tree view because of how that's being initialized. we have a fix coming for this!

we updated the go to definition behavior because hovering over empty wikilinks would end up creating them (due to how 'go to definition' works) https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/issues/564 to create a new link or navigate to an existing link, we recommend using ctrl-enter

what do those of you with iPads use to access your Dendron notes? I've got a Windows tablet that's so slow I hate it, I don't want to spend 600 on a decent Windows touch screen 2-in-1... my wife tells me just get an iPad, but if I don't have a good notes solution, I'm going to hate that even more

I mostly use Editorial, which syncs nicely through Dropbox but isn't getting much love from its developer lately. A newer and really promising app is Taio, but it's more expensive and doesn't play as nicely with Dropbox. Editorial will sync with entire folders and subfolders, but Taio will only let you select individual files. I've also used GoCoEdit and thought it was pretty good, but not amazing. Most of my files are really long, so I gravitate toward editors that will let me easily navigate through files by heading; all of these do that nicely. To answer on my own problem: Turns out there were proxy-settings involved and I needed a

http_no_proxy

env. variable to get around it for localhost.

Trying out doing a site preview on the dendron-site gives me issues right now though. "No site found" issue.

Mostly interested of it as it's a good example of a dendron site. To try to understand how the different pieces fit together. But wasn't able to preview it from the workspace included in the git repository. Maybe there is an easy step I'm just not understanding 🙂 No biggie though.
