what's strange to me is if I do Ctrl-Shift-P and type Dendron, there's nothing referencing Scratch, Ctrl-L & Ctrl-Shift-J are no longer listed (although they both do still work) & Ctrl-Shift-S is just "Dendron: Lookup" (which is what I thought Ctrl-L is)

interesting.. both scratch notes and journals shortcut works fine for me right now but I definitely experienced what John did yesterday. A blank lookup when I trigger the scratch note shortcut. Can't say anything about journals as I never use them 😅

for me, what Dendron calls journal is my spiritual journal & what Dendron calls scratch is my tickler (the non-digital tickler is also called "43 folders", for anyone not familiar or who might want to explore the concept in their favorite search engine)

a digital tickler without automated reminders is a bit weird, but I don't tend to put much in there anyway, because I use Remember the Milk for all of my recurring reminders, as well as my grocery list... I love the RtM is rich enough I can do, for example, "garbage every Monday & Thursday at 6pm"

Tried remember the milk but I couldnt get past the half assed localization it does on my phone and I couldnt find the setting to force it to English 😩 I needed something for my recurring tasks

doh! yeah, issues like that are total crap... as is their desktop app being a wrapper around their web app, to the point where it doesn't work at all (not even as read-only) if you lose your internet connection

Only way to fix this is to set my default language to english which uh... makes everything else do their half assed localizations 🙃

Does anyone have an example of a successfully published workspace on Github I could check out? I'm currently having issues publishing mine and want to see how it should be done.

That's one of the use cases I still use Emacs + Orgmode for. None of the markdown apps on mobile nor vscode seem to support reminders and notifications and that's a dealbreaker for me

Hey guys! So I'm following the tutorial on how to publish my notes. After doing all the steps, I only see a root page. I don't see those notes that I created while doing the tutorial. At first, I tried creating my repo inside

C:\Users\{myusername}\Dendron\vault

. No notes showing up. So I started over and created my repo one folder up,

C:\Users\{myusername}\Dendron

, but same thing, no notes. What am I missing here?

I'm on Windows 10 btw, if that matters.
