A nooby question here. I have three files: RECIPES.Desserts.Pies.md, RECIPES.Desserts.Pies.Cream.md and RECIPES.Desserts.Pies.Fruit.md. In another note, I want to reference these files with a sentence that looks like this: "Cream pies and fruit pies are two basic forms of pie". Functionally, I want "cream pies" and "fruit pies" and "pie" as alias hyperlinks to the respective .md files. Does Dendron handle aliases to reference other notes and if so, what is the syntax? In both the referenced file (alias designators in the frontmatter of the .md file?) and in the file that is using the alias name. At the moment, this is my sticking point with adopting Dendron. TIA.

Thank you very much. I have been deep into this for the past four days, reading everything I can find, and doing little experiments. As often as I have read the Links - Dendron reference, I missed the specific [[cream pie|RECIPES.Desserts.Pies.Cream]] syntax. I did notice that code completion does not work with this and I had to type the whole hierachal file name. Perhaps I missed it because I didn't find any explicit references to "aliases" and/or how to use them in any of the references or documentation. Perhaps those who are preparing the ever-so helpful short videos can include this topic in their repertoire. Now that I have discovered this, I believe I am getting so much closer to migrate my many scattered notes. Again, thank you so very much.

There was a short discussion about a week ago with reference to the Dendron Markdown Preview Enhanced extension not initializing. There didn't seem to be any workable solution. Are others having this issue? I am getting the error "Still initializing. Please close this window and try again after Dendron has been initialized." Dendron is active. I have tried removing VSCode and reinstalling it, and reinstalling Dendron and the extensions, new workplace and uninstalling and reinstalling Dendron extensions. Advice as to how to make this work properly. TIA.

I'm also running into this. Usually I just close all the tabs and restart vs code, and that seems to do it
