dendron will one day have a web client for folks to use without having to install vscode. otherwise, vscode will continue to be the primary editor moving forward and i don't see that changing in the forseeable future

Why is my Table of Content (and nav sidebar) are empty ? Here is what I did (roughly) 1. Added vault named

public

2. Renamed existing vault to

private

from the filesystem, and changed

faPath

from vault -> private in

dendron.yml

(from outside) 3. VSCodium showed some error about

vault

missing. So I removed the entry, and added folder

private

to the workspace. 4. I created couple of notes using "Amoeba pattern" 5. These ended up in private vault (I think cause which is where I was when I created new notes from existing one) 6. I moved them to

public

vault using

I remember @User in somewhere mentioned we could quickly refactor the note. For example, if I have b1, ... bn, and I want to downgrade their level to a.c.b1, ..., a.c.bn. I am not sure how to do this now, any idea ?

You would refactor with b* as initial search and a.c. as prefix. To be honest I usually need at least two attempts to get the parameters right but that's how I would start

I'm not sure if I'm missing plugin(s) but my preview and link following is strange. For example

shows up as pictured, and if there's a space

How do you define a variable in the frontmatter? The documentation only shows how to reference the variable. Is it essentially referencing the YAML

I was playing around with it and answered my own question: yes, you create a variable with syntax like

varName: value

in the frontmatter and reference it as

It seems the title along with the id when we created the note will automatically becomes the title of the note. Could we customize this ? For example, the title with id is "intro", but we want the page title to be "a short intro".

The only thing I didn't have was dendron markdown notes... but now it's showing me two sets of backlinks?!?

no, it looks like that's a submodule or not something I can uninstall separately

When defining schemas, are the imports and the namespace concepts conflicting? Can I have a node which imports from another schema file and also has namespace set to true?

I had the same problem with two backlinks before, I disabled Dendron Markdown Notes and one set went away.

yea that's what I just added because [[these]] are not previewing correctly (but are cmd/ctrl-clicking)

so hover and click work but not spacing and previewing
