The enhanced preview window pops up but it is completely blank normal preview works however.

Went through and disabled a bunch of Markdown extensions I had, and it is working now. (Enhanced Preview)

usually its markdown all in one that causes interference

I got this working (sorta. Why ? Readon) I had seen @User uses VSCodium, rather than VSCode - in this presentations. So I decided to try it there (Also it might be cleaner slate rather than combined with bunch of other extensions installed in VSCode) During this installation, I noticed a couple of things - some or all of this may have caused my earlier failure. 1. There was a popup by macOS asking whether VSCodium should be allowed to listen to incoming connections (I assume this is so that local server can listen to the requests) I may have missed such popup with VSCode (Partially because

takes long time to install, and I think I closed VSCode in between, and when I reopened, dendron was shown as installed) 2.

npm

was not available since I use

nvm

and fish. So I fixed that. But VSCode did not show any such error that npm was missing.

Regarding tags again: https://dendron.so/notes/8bc9b3f1-8508-4d3a-a2de-be9f12ef1821.html When I use that a new note (i.e. tag.mynewtag.md) is created. The page above suggests that you can find all notes with your tags through backlinks. However for this I have to insert links to all notes into the tag.mynewtag.md note? Is that how it's supposed to be or am I doing something wrong ?

No you don't need to link from tag.mynewtag.md to the other notes. you only need to create it and you should have a backlink panel on the left side to see all notes that link to this tag.

Ah yes 🙌! Thanks was not looking at the backlinks when having the Tag-note opened. That makes totally sense 😬😅

Good morning - having some difficulties after restarting VSC. I restarted and opened my local Dendron folder. Dendron no longer works - I can’t use the lookup bar or anything. A popup invites me to open the

dendron.code-workspace

. When I do, all my files disappear.

What am I doing wrong? Where should my files be?

Dendron requires a workspace. The directory layout needs to include a workspace file and at least one vault as directory next to the workspace file. Also a dendron.yml file needs to be present that references the vault

What's the content of your dendron.yml file and where on disk are your files?

If everything else fails you could initialize a new workspace and copy your files over

Moved all my files to the vault. Running

Dendron: Doctor

results in throwing errors - “no workspace file”

The

dendron.code-workspace

file is right there in the

vault

Should I just restart everything and copy the notes over?

you will want to open the workspace file first
