to restict to a few notes. I terminated the command after a while and only noticed afterwards that one file had doen the correct change (add an id and move h1 to title)

the reason it doesn't update is because it launches an instance of the engine server which runs forever. i'll get both of these fixed for monday!

By the way: does Dendron need to run for the cli doctor to work?

nope, it will launch its separate instance of the dendron server in the background

hmm, we have certain optimizations set in place for the fuzzyness of the lookup to make it snappy. it might be too aggressive in this case. will look into it!

@User I have been discussing it with others in the previous day, and just read the multivault page but it's still not very clear for me. What would be the advantages of having a multivault setup over a very simple system where i label all private notes with the private. prefix and add it to my gitignore file ?

I am thinking about switching to the multivault setup but it appears somehow experimental and maybe more complicated to sync/publish and in addition I dont really understand the advantages

(note that all notes are dropbox synced, so I dont care about the versionning of the private notes)

the use cases are enumerated here: https://dendron.so/notes/24b176f1-685d-44e1-a1b0-1704b1a92ca0.html#use-cases in general, i would treat going multi-vault as going multi-note as according to the amoeba pattern (https://dendron.so/notes/e780000d-c784-4945-8e42-35218a3ecf10.html) i wouldn't start off with it unless you know you need it. otherwise, its something you can add later. and you're right, multi-vault still has some UX issues which I'm working on smoothing out this month

to start a snippet. I ended up replacing that with

and now the snippet works just fine. Then I disabled Markdown All in One and snippets that start with

;

started working. So that package & character seem to be the culprit.
