it's a publishing platform. I find the free plan more than enough for a personal website.

I think you can link across vaults. You have two roots then in your graph. I created a feature request to have the Dendron tree view combine the different vaults but haven't thought about the graph view. Might be useful there as well

AFAIK you can also define parts of a vault not to be published. That might be easier than a gitignore file

To be fair there are still some limitations of multi-vault. E.g. refs don't work currently unless @kevins8 fixed that in the meantime
