as for folders, dendron's hierarchies are meant to be used for organizing since the idea with hierarchies is that you can organize any number of notes. multi-vault is meant to be more as a means of access control than organization: https://dendron.so/notes/45cfb9f2-46cf-4f67-a41e-834818fbd06e.html

Thanks - and I am sorry for the pestering questions - I am switching over from Obsidian and trying to get used to the new commands. My structure in Obsidian is like this - so I need to change my thinking!

Will do. So far: - Folders vs Hierarchy - Pasting images - control+v vs entering the past image command - Plugins - there is a great plugin called Day Planner in Obsidian from the community - provides a neat way to define your tasks for the day and then apply POMO timers to each event, then provides graphical timelines, gantt chart, and other gadgets to identify how much time between tasks there are.

pasting images, you can define a custom shortcut for (you can do that for all vscode commands)

as for the day planner, @tsnieman made a feature request for something similar. something i’m planning on getting to, ideally before this year is over 😅

I just tried to add a second vault. After that only the second (newly added) vault is shown in the dendron treeview. Anyone else noticed this? I'll try to dig into this later today now need to do some paid work 😀

I am playing with references and I am not quite understanding the syntax for start and end. My intent is to either ONLY have the text under heading # Notes or the text between # Notes and # Agenda, but what I am getting is the text for everything including # Other which I would like to omit.

Interestingly, this DOES NOT work:

But this DOES work:

The difference is the start anchor will not take the # symbol, but the end anchor seems to need it.

Are their plans to create a Patreon? I know their already is a way to support dendron. I just would find it more manageable to have all subscription in one place. Instead of having them all on diffrent pages.

Dendron: Configure

? when you add a vault, we will write it in the config file which is what the tree view uses. you can usually fix this by deleting the vaults blok in the

dendron.yml

and reloading your workspace. this will get you back to the normal default at which point you can add the vault again

> if i run dendron doctor, is it intentional, that it will create empty year/month nodes for my journals? @User yes. the reason for this is to generate a stable path. for stubs (notes that don't exist), dendron will generate a virtual note and new unique id each time. this makes it problematic for certain functionality like publishing which relies on a stable id (and will needlessly publish empty notes if that isn't the case). there is a better alternative to this (eg. skip publishing empty notes) that I just haven't gotten around to implementing. if this is problematic, feel free to submit a feature request and we can make it into an option for doctor

@kevins8 its not a problem for me. At first i was fighting it because it felt like clutter but now I accept it 😋

@User unfortunately the error log doesn't seem to include the name of the problematic note, so I can't really deduce what the specific problem might be :/

@User will add some more logs to that command and ping you when its ready. i have some hunches to what this might be. you mentioned that BuildPod in vscode still works, right?
