Oh! Since I've been experimenting with
    tp
as a level for task notes in each project, I just tried
    ![[**.tp.*]]
and it seems to grab task notes from any hierarchy. Very cool!

    What does the
    log,1
do here? Does it go from a header named
    log
    to the next header?

    Yeap. and the
    1
part cuts the header line, so the result only includes the text of the log section.

This is an awesome tip and I've been trying to implement it as much as possible. Thanks for sharing!! I am getting a generic error though "error reading file". I'm not sure what could be the issue. Has anyone seen this yet?

I have ![[user.stories.*#20220929]] and most notes do NOT have that header, which is fine. But the notes that do have that header I'm getting that error "error reading file"

Today, I accidentally used the shortcut
    Ctrl+T
(Linux, prob Windows too? MacOS maybe
    Cmd+T
    ?) . It's a shortcut in VS Code for
    Go To Symbol in Workspace
, which is like a lookup that helps you search file header titles easily (all notes and vaults), with something like
    # <my-thing>
for example. I happened to accidentally do it when I couldn't find a note, and was trying to do
    Superkey+T
to launch a terminal to grep through, but this did the trick. I feel ridiculous for not knowing this little shortcut prior to this.

I used this shorcut everyday on Windows. It helps me search fast using headers’ content. I thought this was a feature developed by Dendron team?

I think it's actually a VS Code feature and can be used anywhere, not just Dendron vaults 🙂
    Go To Symbol in Workspace
    is a version of the
    Go To Symbol
navigation it looks like: https://code.visualstudio.com/Docs/editor/editingevolved#_go-to-symbol Looks like their docs refer to
    Ctrl+T
    as
    Open symbol by name
and may be out-dated in definition since it looks like
    Go To Symbol in Workspace
    now? https://code.visualstudio.com/Docs/editor/editingevolved#_open-symbol-by-name

friend sent me this video.. got me on a little knowledge tree spree.. reminded me of a lot of things i liked about in obsidian actually! on how i can take a small piece of something out of context, and not really think of the whole structure. i'm taking this approach with a vault im doing now (ethereum / general computer knowledge vault).

instead of limiting yourself to individual insights, once you have exhausted your initial insight divergence (or even after some deliberate practice) you can then learn from others mental models if you have made these atomic

I feel like I don’t fully understand what you mean. What is insight divergence @bitNomad and do you have any examples? Randomization sounds fun. I always liked the idea of picking some entry point like that, and following the web of knowledge. Like a anki system almost.

    > step 1, "generate as many insights as possible" I shortened this to insight divergence as you are trying to diver(ge) / expand the number of references that could help you remember or understand a concept. "neurons that fire together wire together" There is a parallel in design thinking, where the idea is to expand the potential solution space by creating a diverse set of choices

another way to put it, diversity brings resilience through context, experience, and practice allowing a concept/solution/etc to be questioned from different viewpoints as well as incorporate different practices.
