if you had multiple materials it will be multiple texture sets, if you had one material for multiple assets it will be one texture set

I made a very quick test and everything seems to be working with 1 assigned material to all objects

Don't forget to bake in Merged mode!

Using generated materials is a fallback feature. We are forced to do this because neither bevels nor baking will work if there is no material. If you want to control the process, create the necessary materials yourself. Here is a quote from the documentation. https://zen-masters.github.io/Zen-BBQ/subpanel_preferences/ Default Material Color: Defines the base viewport display color used when Zen BBQ automatically generates a default material for an object (if no material was assigned manually).

Thanks for your feedback! We fixed the Direct X baking bug. Update the add-on. The fixed version is now available. And I can already see what corrections need to be made to the documentation. If you have any other comments or concerns, please share them with us. This will make the add-on even better.

is there a setting for baking with margin in bbq

Hey. Good catch! It looks like we somehow managed to leave the Margin setting out of the UI panel in this build. We're already fixing this and will release an update as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can easily control the margin directly through Blender's native settings: 1. Go to the Render Properties tab. 2. Expand the Bake section. 3. Set your desired Margin value there — Zen BBQ will respect it during the baking process. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and sorry for the inconvenience!

In 5.2 everything should work fine. How does it look? When switching modes, is the object selected? The appearance changes, but there are no bevels?

Yes. I understand. Material mode is designed to display your material. In other words, in this mode, bevels won't be displayed unless you add a Normal Mixer to the nodes yourself.

Do you mean you need to see bevels on your own material, rather than on the add-on's material?

We received messages from users who objected to the add-on modifying their materials without their control. Therefore, in the current version, the required node can only be added manually. It is called Normals Mixer. Use the operator from the Tools panel—Normal Map Tools—Add Normals Mixer. https://zen-masters.github.io/Zen-BBQ/subpanel_tools/#add-normals-mixer

It's actually very simple. Just add one node, and it will continue to control your bevels just as before.
