Not sure I get how it wouldn’t be legal

Simple: I bought a perpetual license (expensive) and I pay for maintenance every year. Now my license is “evaporating”(converted to subscription) and I'm forced to switch to subscriptions which will cost more. Is it fair? In the same time new customer will be able to pay for subscription without initial cost (perpetual license). In my opinion, this could be the beginning of the end for Citrix… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Fair and legal are two different things. But in that vain, have you done the cost comparisons of what you paid and what your renewal is versus a net new customer to know that it is a material difference. Also every software vendor out there either has or is in the process of moving to subscription. Citrix isn’t doing something new to be fair to them.

It's time to verify the contract documentation. 🤷🏻‍♂️
