I talked to @James Kindon about that problem. We are getting started on a DaaS Standard for Azure project, and our ephemeral VMs are soooo slow. The Disk read times are horrible. But this vanishes slowly about an hour after the VM startup. But the first 30 minutes they are terribly slow.
