@newbie1998 ha lol, I just figured that I returned my laptop to ivanti this week, so I don't have any access anymore to ivanti resources, so let me start typing:
• FSLogix is 2 things, the VHDX containers (Profile or Office containers) and the Appmasking solution.
◦ I expect MS to have a dev. team dedicated for FSLogix.
◦ Containers can't be shared between different OS'es
◦ You can't just restore a specific file or registry setting for an application
◦ It's free for most customers
• UWM Suite consists of Environment Manager Config (trigger based scripts, GPO, registry, VHDx containers auto healing etc.), Environment Manager Personalization (saving specific profile based registry or filesystem data), Performance Manager (CPU and Memory), Application control (allowing/blocking exe dll and scripts PLUS elevation or de-elevation), File Director (an easy implementation to provide users with access to OneDrive or on-prem shares in a few clicks), Ivanti browser Manager (Avanite Webdata Control, to manage webcache, adblocking, URL redirection to correct browsers and much more )
◦ ivanti has a team available for the User Workspace Manager ("UWM") suite, so bugs will land in a backlog for the suite.
◦ Personalization can be shared between different OS' es
◦ Personalization settings can easily be restored per application or per Profile setting
◦ All these features cost money
◦ There's a lot of auditing, versioning and you can setup test environments or machines in a few clicks
So if you want to compare the VHDx part, then I can say that FSLogix team has more focus and new features or tools will be made available as you've seen over the last year. From ivanti side, I haven't seen that much movement BUT I must say that the team added a nice option to create custom containers. So you can e.g. easily create a Firefox container or Lotus Notes container for specific user-groups.
If you want to compare FSLogix with the UWM Suite, then I'd say that's trying to compare a remote control with a laptop, as you can see above they are completely different outside the VHDx capabilities. If you have a customer who is really using the UWM suite, and who is looking to move to FSLogix, then go sit with the team who currently manages UWM. Ask them what features they are using, put that in an excel sheet and most likely you'll need to come up with a lot of extra new management tools to perform the same management tasks. You will need to onboard the team in these applications, you'll need to migrate from UWM to these other tools.
IF they only use personalization, then hop over to @James Rankin his blog, he wrote a nice article describing how-to migrate from Appsense/UWM Perso to FSLogix
