That's a weird one David. You have session reliability enabled out of curiosity?
d
Yes SR enabled. I checked this afternoon and there were 1300 hdx sessions listed, with only 6 users currently logged in. There were HDX sessions showing for my own user account, connected from home, even though I was in the office - so must be from last night. Same data shown in Controlup so doesn’t seem to be a gui issue. Just looking on best way to clean them up and have Netscaler stay on top of it itself.
It is a 2 node Ha setup in case that is relevant. Really basic remote-access Ica only.
l
Well..... Technically it should do it itself. Lol looks like you may have found a nice bug. What firmware are you running on your NetScalers?
d
Interesting. It is a flavour of 12.1, will check exact ver and report back (away from computer).
l
No worries
d
They are on 12.1 53.12.nc. There is a 54.16 released a few weeks ago but release notes don't appear to show anything relevant. Strange one. I will manually clear them one evening and see if they repopulate.
l
Worth a shot. I'm happy to test in the lab to see if I can replicate it.
Not this weekend though. E2E ;-)

I have the same deal as well. The session timeout in the gateway is wonky.
d
There’s something in the latest 12.1 release notes that could be relevant. I’m not near a computer or would send info.
From release notes for 55.13, under Citrix Gateway: In an HA pair setup, the persistent sessions on the primary node are not cleared because of an issue with the session sync code in the VPN server. [# NSHELP-19557] Kinda hoping that helps 🙂

Fingers crossed for you guys. That's a very specific issue.
