I recently have the same issue so I'm curious what people recommend :)

Developer edition was caught up in the same situation as automatic evals. This decision isn’t necessarily set in stone, so if self serve evals/developer edition are important then please reach out to your sales team/SE and let them know. Customer feedback carries a lot of weight in decisions like this.

I was told by the PM that they were working on restoring the Developer Edition, but that was weeks ago.
