try: zgrep -ir "packets dropped due to licensed throughput" /var/log/
m
hey, there we go!
only shows me running that command but at least it shows something
m
It will write it in the ns.log, but the cmd i wrote will read the whole of /var/log, so that is why it shows you that. If you don't see it, i don't think you hit the limit. https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX225182
m
It’s dropping 500 packets a second during the period when it’s at 15mbit per second throughput, so somethings going on
it’s not logging that message though
I worked out what the issue is with that page, there’s no space after the | more command
and you need to be in the /var/nslog folder for it to work
it’s a badly written article
m
yes for nsconmsg
if you run nsconmsg from anywhere else, you need to append /var/nslog/newnslog
m
it should say that in the article
m
so nsconmsg -K /var/nslog/newnslog
Well it's Citrix, documentation is not their strong point
could you try cat ns.log | grep 62992 while being in the /var/log directory. It should log it in the ns.log also, if the vpx dropped packets because of license
Can't even send enough traffic to hit the limit on my own home vpx, to test it myself right, would have to setup a freemium or vpx 10 to test
m
there is nothing in there
but the dropped packet rate goes down to under 100 when the traffic falls under 10mbit
under 10 actually
I have a trial license, I’m going to upgrade the license and the firmware
m
If only cis was running
When you have enough bandwidth.
m
yeah, that’s the license I’m about to drop on 🙂
m
Nothing beats 100G 😄 - except my 1Gbps WAN connection and LAN connection.
