Can you have a look at the http headers the client sends to see if there's anything about the version
j
Thanks. Yep, will look tomorrow. Not hopefully though....😔

You should be able to upgrade receiver /workspace through the Netscaler as long as you set the deploy receiver/workspace app settings correctly on the receiver for web site in storefront "deployment option = install locally / allow users to download hdx plugin at login then set your source either citrix.com or receiver clients folder on your SF server. check the web.config for pluginAssistant enabled="True" upgradeAtLogin="True" as well. Your other option is rewrite some text onto the NS GW login page with a hyperlink to latest workspace app
also why wasnt the epa scan working what issues did you have with that ?
j
@c4rm0 yes, the receiver/workspace upgrade works fine via storefront internally but not when you connect externally via the netscaler. So the settings for web.config, etc should be good. We use a different address externally (remote.company.com) and internally it’s direct (storefront.company.com). Maybe this is the reason the upgrade process doesn’t work? I have already added a link/text to login page for workspace upgrade but users don’t look or understand or can’t be bothered. EPA pre authentication scan just doesn’t work for some reason. Tried a few registry keys for Citrix version but nothing seemed to work. We still use classic expressions maybe it needs advanced expressions?
c
just knocked that together it looks for the md5 value of receiver.exe that is the md5 of <Workspace version="20.10.0.20">

Thanks Very interesting , I’ll look into that tomorrow. It look like an Advanced expression? I’ve been looking at a registry key on client within HKLM\software\citrix and checking if value >=20.0.25.
c
it works just tested it EPA fails for anything less than 20.10.0.20
from my machine with <Workspace version="20.10.0.20"> and corect md5 hash for receiver.exe epa scan passes and i am allowed in
yeh its a epa action with a advanced auth policy i use it as part of a nfactor flow
