Thanks Carl, yes I'm going to revert to a process similar to this - was just hoping to shortcut the process!

The PAYG bits are very... temperamental in my experience. Make sure you grep the config file for "license" and make sure there aren't any liccenseServer entries or similar stuff lurking about.
