It won’t sever the sessions. VDAs will fail over to the other controller. Just follow the upgrade process in the eDocs and you should be fine. Supplement with Carl Stalhood if anything is unclear.

awesome thanks! after the first DDC upgrade done you do the sql db upgrade and then the 2nd DDC if memory serves? that DB upgrade wont even sever connections then? possibly not needed a full downtime window then sounds like

always plan for a downtime window 🙂 it wont kill connections, but its a significant upgrade and new ones wont be able to be established during the upgrade of the DB etc (small window)
