That is the way I read it as well.
Its apart of the 1912 VDA and CWA now. Just install the Citrix Verions of Teams ( if using teams) and enable the Policy.

Okay. I was going through the Tech Zone article on AV exclusions, since I wanted to make sure I was up to date in preparation for 1912, and there are a few HDX-related directories that I didn't think should be there. At the very least, they should be noted as pre-1912, IMO.
r
yea, thats correct
@Martin Zugec maybe he can update the to reflect in time?
m
Thanks, I'll definitely look into it after Summit 👍

Thank you.

Heya! So seems that's the case for Teams optimization, not for HDX RTOP
n
So we still need the RTOP in 1912?
m
Yep, talked to PM few minutes ago (CC @Miguel Contreras ⬆️ )
I see Teams (HdxTeams.exe) as part of my CWA, but not RTOP
n
You're killing me guys!
I thought we lucked out on something.
At this point, the RTOP is really only necessary for Skype, no?
m
Throwing @Miguel Contreras to lions (he just joined few minutes ago) to answer that 😄

Hey guys. Yes, RTOP still requires separate installations on both VDA side (connector) and client side (media engine). RTOP is just for Skype for Business optimization. In the case of Teams Optimization, that is a completely separate solution. The client side component is bundled with CWA and the VDA side component is bundled with the VDA
n
I'll just use this as an excuse to move on from Skype.

...not that I haven't been looking to do that anyway.
