I normally use FoxIt which you can edit PDFs in to some degree.....seems to work fine and is a lot smaller than Adobe
n
I use FoxIt on my own machine, but it seems pretty severely limited compared to Acrobat.
m
Did you know that Word can now edit PDFs as well?
n
Yes, and it has to convert it first. The formatting is often screwed up when I've tried this.
r
Foxit as well. But like you said its limited
k
The new Edge browser can also handle PDFs
n
Why do you hate me, Kasper?
😆 2
k
I don't 😄
r
haha
c
Do y’all put foxit and adobe reader?
k
Yes, I usually see either Foxit or Adobe Reader
n
We've got Adobe Reader in there now. I think we're going to try App-V with Acrobat first, even though Adobe "doesn't support" it.
d
Perhaps Acrobat Reader and Pro can be used together with AppMasking and/or SetUserFTA. I think I already did that before but after all these projects I‘m not even sure 😂.
k
It can be difficult, but it is possible
c
We have adobe pro and adobe standard don’t get me started, I have two different masters images.
s
The paid alternative that competes with adobe are DocsCorp PdfDocs and Nuance Power PDF
forgot Kofax, but I havnt used it.
n
I have a hate/hate relationship with Nuance, so that’s gonna be a hard pass right there.
a
I have recently used FSLogix AppMasking yo install Actobat Pro and Reader on the image and I set FTA wiyh SetUserFTA and it’s working great. so far!
