Update: No Issue on 7.15 CU5 VDA when using native Network-Twain with Client Twain-Redirection disabled....will open Citrix Call tomorrow.
Update2: We were sucessfull with twnhook.dll from: - VDA1903 (dll-version 7.21.09) - VDA1906.2 (dll-version 7.22.0.14) - VDA2003 (dll-version 7.25.09). With VDA1909 (dll-version 7.23.04) and VDA1912 (dll-version 7.24.0.36) the issue comes up. So they broke it in 1909 i guess. We already opened a citrix support ticket. Now we're waiting for a call back.

Today Citrix Support finally called me. They recorded everything we found out already. Hope they release a fix for 1912 in CU1...We’re going VDA 1912 and dll-Version 2003 for the testing environment... You may want to follow the discussion thread in forums: https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/408343-network-twain-not-working-unless-hooking-is-disabled/#comment-2063227
1912 CU1 seems to fix this one. Going to test next week and let you know. Fixed issue (Session/Connection): After you upgrade a VDA to Version 1909.1, some third-party applications such as RemoteScan might fail to scan a document and become unresponsive. The issue occurs because of the faulting module, twnhook.dll. [CVADHELP-13937]

Test go well?

Deployed 1912 CU1 VDA just an hour ago...first test looks promising. Now PaloAlto TS-Agent tries to crash the party, but that’s another story. So yes, issue seems to be resolved for us.

awesome, thanks for testing that for all of us. 🙂
