Ok thanks, What do you do with all the old snapshots that are apart of the ProvScheme?
Example DDC shows this. XDHyp:\HostingUnits\XA_XD Netwrk Connection VS1VC01_PROD_176\XD7MSTRHR.vm\Citrix_XD_Citrix Human Resources Desktop.snapshot\VMSnapshot 4%252f29%252f2020, 101804 AM.snapshot
m
Well, you have to keep them, since machines provisioned from them are still available. There are two types of dedicated machines with MCS - thin clones (like pooled, but persistent) and full clones, which ones do you have?
r
Oh yea, Full Clones
So I have to keep every snapshot then? Oh man
m
That should not be needed for full clones, but I've never tested it 😞 VMs are created from snapshots in MCS, however in your case, I don't believe there is any link between existing machines and original provisioning schema IMHO
r
Yea, I updated the Master image delpoy new machiens from it. But I delete all the old snapshots, But in the DDC when I run Get-Provscheme, it comes back and say they are still listed, However when I run the get-childitem -path "XDHyp:\HostingUnits\XA_XD Netwrk Connection VS1VC01_PROD_176\XD7MSTRHR.vm\Citrix_XD_Citrix Human Resources Desktop.snapshot\VMSnapshot 4%252f29%252f2020, 101804 AM.snapshot\ImageUpdate.snapshot" States it cant find it. So, I am confused.
I guess I can ask support, maybe Ill get lucky today
m
Yeah, I would do that for sure...
It's OK that you see them - it's provisioning scheme that you've used
