Mind you, that button appears in Studio on both controllers now.
a
with old versions i remember us needing to do the sql db upgrade via command line for some reason. this may not be the same at all from what you're seeing but rang a bell
g
Have seen this across version upgrades, believe it is documented by citrix aswell
n
Citrix's documentation does mention the 'Upgrade remaining delivery controllers" button, but not "Start the automatic Site upgrade" button like you were doing it for the first time.
r
I had this, had to reboot both DDC-s, after that it was fine.
n
Rebooting your DDCs caused that button to disappear?
r
It is new behavior they introduced a while back. I think it will update the DDC version in the database. Just run it and you'll be fine. No reboot needed
r
For my lab I show it did it twice on 1912 in my screenshots as well.
n
The reason I brought it up is because we didn’t see it in QA, and when we pressed Citrix, they said it was possible, but wasn’t always the case. Still waiting on the Scout analysis for those policy issues.
l
Reboot both your controllers chap, one after the other. It'll go away after that.
n
We rebooted them twice and still saw it - that’s the weird part. Either way, everything appears to be working well since going live. Waiting on Citrix escalation to give us their opinion on whether or not the C:\ProgramData\CitrixCseCache folder needs to be cleared before sealing our image. I can’t recall ever having to do that in the past, so I doubt we’ll have to.
l
That usually means your database upgrade hasn't fully completed. Can you test the DB connection and then the service states? Let me know if you need the commands.
n
We did test everything when we upgraded, and I believe everything came back okay. In the end, all that’s button didn’t was validate a few services on the newly updated controllers.
Also, you’re up way too damn early unless you had a 3am upgrade like I did, Leee... :)
l
I'm in the UK mate. Its almost 1pm here.
;-)
n
I knew that, too. Apparently, two cups of coffee is not enough today.
l
Ha ha. This is a sign you need to sleep, when you know things but don't use them.
