Same issue. Will test this thanks. This seems isolated to the recent Big sure rlease.

In our environment it didn't help, had that policy disabled, UDP 443 blocked in fw, ADC EDT not enabled. User still got disconnected all the time on Server 2019 with VDA2112, We rolled back to 2109 and had no more issues.
r
Good to know that you sir
r
@Ben Did you raise a support ticket for this?
b
No i did not open a case, and my latest update on this problem is that the problem still happens on Intel Macs on Monterey and does not on M1 - for me on M1 with Workspace App 2201 setting this Adaptive Transport policy helped 100%
r
Could you please do? It's an interesting case
b
Yes i asked the customer, we will open a case today. should i reference something?
r
No, case will be enough
b
Found this interesting Citrix article that might explain what i saw (but not why only M1 Macs are not affected anymore) & opened a case #80993154 https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX338543

For us it didnt mather what MacOS version M1 or not M1, we had problem until 2112 was uninstalled šŸ˜ž

@Daniel Viklund wondering if the support case can find something, i got all logs so there is hope

In my case it worked disabling EDT on the MAC. Run the command in a terminal: defaults write com.citrix.receiver.nomas HDXOverUDPAllowed -bool NO -> https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-mac/configure.html#enlightened-data-transport-edt

@Daniel Viklund We rolled back our VDA to 1912.4. It was stable on 2112 without Hdx Adaptive Transport, but only for M1 Macs with Workspace 2201. The older the macOS, the more issues we saw, even with my workaround. Also the citrix support said that there might be some code problem with those old macOS versions. With Current Release VDA only the latest macOS 12.1 seems to be 100% working. If you downgrade to LTSR or previous CR like you did, also older macOS like Catalina on Intel will work stable. I wonder if Citrix will fix this. Our case was not very useful. The private hotfix release they gave me did not work at all...
@Ionut DRAGUSIN Very interesting workaround, i will try this too. But as i wrote we used the same solution as Daniel. I prefer a server-based fix and not forcing end users to modify their system - even if that is a very minor fix
In my case on one older Intel mac (10.15.7 Catalina) the Citrix Viewer still crashes on 2112 VDA while it does never with LTSR1912.4 setting defaults write com.citrix.receiver.nomas HDXOverUDPAllowed -bool NO did not change the behavior at all.
I would be glad if others could so something too in this case, seems everyone is just following the thread not opening a case and waiting for a solution. This private fix WSA Mac (22.01.0.2) arrived today, in my case it does not work on Catalina. No ICA launch possible. On Big Sur it keeps crashing. Seems a useless release. To install you need to use Terminal / sudo. sudo installer -pkg ā€œ/Volumes/Citrix Workspace/Install Citrix Workspace.pkgā€ -target /Applications https://citrix.sharefile.com/d-s143b4017c129433f8f275d4d411dd10d

Did you ever get an update on this?
m
@Ben Do you have any update from Citrix regarding this case or should I open a case ?
b
@Marco Stalder Please track a case too. Seems very hard to find some solution here. Today i will test the new Mac release 12.3 + CWA 2203 on M1. But there is little hope left.
s
Is this just m1 issues? not other prcs?
b
Intel CPUs are also affected, i own 3 macs with 3 different plattforms 1 M1 and 2 Intel and saw it by myself.
Seems the latest Mac OS updates changed the behaviour. Catalina 10.15.7 with WSA 2201 and VDA 2112 seems solid now. The only difference is the Mac version. My test session lasts at least half a day without any interruption now . What caused a lot problems on any macs was enabling the logging within CWA, all tests are done now without
